Only in America can someone almost be killed while running for office and then be blamed for the attempts on their life. Immediately after the first attempt on Trump’s life, there were calls to lessen the political rhetoric to bring the “temperature down” and, for me, a hope that Trump might actually get a fair shake from the legacy media. Nope, that lasted about ten minutes before the rhetoric ratcheted right back up, and maybe worse than it had been before. Then, out of nowhere, a second attempt was made on Trump’s life; though serious, it was quite a bit less successful.
This isn’t easy to write, but it needs to be written.

The sad truth is this: It’s not at all surprising that someone would try to kill him. I mean, think about it. Every day for 9yrs, he’s spewed hate, spread division, and incited violence like no other. Every day. Ever since he…
Both highlight a growing concern that I have; let me explain. Trump has promised to “drain the swamp.” What did that mean? For me, I think it meant that he was going to lean out the government and make it more streamlined. However, I think it was received by the swamp monsters in D.C. in such a way that they thought their very way of life was in danger. The gravy train was going to come to an end. “Oh no, we can’t have that,” I’m sure they thought, so they set forth a plan to find a way to ruin Trump’s reputation, no doubt thinking, “There is no way the MAGA movement will support a guy that’s a threat to national security,” when the FBI raid occurred. When that failed to bear fruit for them, they blew the dust off of the Stormy Daniels nonsense and had a sham trial: “There is no way that MAGA will support a felon.” Again, it did nothing to undermine any support he had; instead, it gave him a huge popularity bump. Most folks saw it as if everything he said would happen had made manifest.

When the overt methods failed to gut the support he had, the “swamp” was left with little else to do but try to have him killed.
Both shooters the legacy media claim were Republicans (though how Republican can someone be if they try to kill the man?). The evidence is sketchy at best; either way, I doubt we will ever know the motives for “why” they did what they did. Though in my mind, it’s pretty self-evident as to why they tried to kill Trump.
Whistleblower alleges Secret Service apparently failed to account for “known vulnerabilities” at Trump’s golf course. Shooter was able to lie in wait for 12 hours.

They usually have agents stationed there, but that day NO ONE was there. Whistleblowers tell that protocol was not… pic.twitter.com/vsJsqze7st
Why? The swamp wants Trump gone. I believe that the swamp naively thinks Trump is a demagogue and that, with him gone, the “cult of personality” will fade into obscurity, only to be brought up as a punchline in political jokes. The thing is, they don’t realize Trump has started a movement—a fire that has burned away any notion that the old political norms can ever come back. The rural conservatives are fed up with being treated like serfs, like they don’t matter, like they should be led and listen to their urban “betters.” It’s never going back to the way it was before. Trump, for better or worse, has left a mark on the GOP and the larger political sphere as a whole.
That’s why they want him dead.
