US President Joe Biden announced Tuesday that his team is “working on it.”
This morning, Moscow announced it would respond “appropriately” if the United States were to formally allow Kyiv to use its weapons for strikes inside Russia.

The US government has sent nearly $200 billion in aid and weapons to Ukraine since the start of the war in February 2022.
Removing the self-defense restriction would be a significant development and would likely escalate tensions between Russia and the US—both nuclear superpowers. It has been reported that Iran has been supplying Russia with munitions, as well as China, which has increased wartime manufacturing to aid Putin’s efforts in Ukraine.
