Routh faces Life in Prison
Ryan Routh, a 58-year-old Hawaii resident, was indicted on charges of attempted assassination of Donald Trump at Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, on September 15, while the former president was golfing.
Routh is currently being held in jail while awaiting trial. Before the indictment, he was already facing two charges related to firearms. The situation escalated when federal prosecutors revealed evidence suggesting a premeditated plan to harm Trump.
Why is the Biden administration releasing Routh's “manifesto that put a $150,000 bounty on Trump's head” when “the FBI wouldn't release the Nashville tr*ns school shooter's manifesto because they said at the time they didn’t want to inspire more violence”?

The indictment was returned by a federal grand jury in Miami late Tuesday afternoon. If convicted, Routh could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
The case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, known for her prior decision to dismiss a criminal case against Trump involving classified documents. Routh has yet to enter a plea, and his legal team has attempted but failed to secure his release on bond.
Prosecutors have revealed alarming details about Routh’s behavior leading up to the incident. Months prior, he allegedly delivered a letter to an unidentified person that referenced an “assassination attempt on Donald Trump.” Furthermore, authorities found evidence that he had spent a month in South Florida, with cell phone data placing him near both the golf course and Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. Court filings indicate he was in possession of a handwritten list detailing dates and venues where Trump was scheduled to appear.

The tense situation escalated when a U.S. Secret Service agent, conducting a security sweep of the golf course, discovered a man with a rifle protruding from the fence. In response, the agent opened fire, prompting Routh to flee. He was apprehended shortly thereafter along a nearby highway.
Initially, Routh faced charges for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, as well as possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
