Air defense systems were deployed several times throughout the night to counter missile and drone strikes in the town West of Zaporizhzia.
On Monday, Ukraine was hit with over 200 missiles and drones which left at least seven dead and serious damage to energy infrastructure.
Russian commentators called the attack on Ukraine “retaliation” for the invasion of Russia’s Kursk region earlier in August, a large-scale military action unseen since World War II.

Still unable to quell Ukrainian action in Kursk, Kremlin officials have called for a response since the invasion. Russian forces continue to pound Ukrainian forces in the region with artillery, air, and drone strikes.
Tuesday morning’s attacks were verified by Ukrainian authorities, citing Russian use of Tu-85 strategic bombers and MiG-31 aircraft.
