A spokesman for the Kremlin stated on Friday morning that Telegram founder and CEO, Pavel Durov, has never made any deals with Moscow or has had any meetings with Vladimir Putin.

🚨BREAKING: Telegram Founder Pavel Durov Has Been Freed From Custody, Will Appear In Court

Durov was arrested at Paris’s Bourget Airport, and they’ve kept him under lock and key for 96 hours—the maximum allowed under French law.

Durov, a Russian-born tech entrepreneur, was arrested in France earlier this month for Telegram “allowing illicit transactions, child sex abuse images, drug trafficking, and fraud.”

"There were no negotiations between Durov and the Kremlin, and the fact that he visited Russia, well, he is a Russian citizen, he moves freely. There were no deals between the Kremlin and Durov.”
Dmitry Peskov
Kremlin spokesman

France is actually going to throw Telegram founder Pavel Durov in jail for up to 20 YEARS for refusing to censor the truth.

If this happened to Mark Zuckerberg in Russia, every Western government would be going crazy.

Durov’s legal team maintains that it is absurd to blame him for crimes committed on the platform.

In 2018, Russia pressured Durov to hand over user data but he refused. The act of defiance caused the billionaire to leave his homeland and seek Emirati citizenship.

Russia claims the US is behind the arrest.
