Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake (R) has come under recent fire for allegedly changing her position on abortion following an Arizona Supreme Court ruling that upholds a near-total ban on it. She is being called a traitor by the Right, and a liar by the Left.
Even the Babylon Bee has come at her pretty hard.

What was once widely seen as repulsive and evil is now widely accepted in America. The mass murder of babies has for some reason become a common point of debate. The idea of murdering a baby is mind-bogglingly abhorrent. When a small baby or toddler is brutally murdered, society agrees it’s beyond sickening. There are no words to describe such heinousness. When a pregnant woman dies, it is agreed that more than just the woman is lost. When parents lose a baby to miscarriage, everyone agrees it’s a tragedy and something to be mourned. These are the rules and there are no exceptions. So why then do these rules disappear for abortion? Call it what you will, abortion is a politicized term for baby murder, nothing more.
According to the Centers for Disease Control website, in 2021, 625,978 babies were killed; not worldwide, right here in the United States. In a single year, more babies were killed by abortion alone than the total combined combat deaths of the civil war. These women and “doctors” who aided them have managed to kill more people than two armies of men actively trying to kill each other throughout an entire war. Additionally, 620,327 were reported in 2020, 629,898 in 2019, and 619,591 the year before that. The numbers are astronomical. In just four years nearly two and a half million babies have been murdered before they ever laid eyes upon their mothers and fathers.
Some will argue abortion is a way to protect mothers from the complications that can arise from giving birth. Although, in 2021, 1,205 women died of maternal causes. However tragic that may be, it is hardly justification for killing over six hundred thousand babies in the same year. Others will say it all has to do with a woman’s choice. The choice to murder their babies that is. These babies are human beings, conceived, with a heartbeat, living, breathing, and innocent. And for some reason, the right of the fathers to intervene is considered a grave injustice. Therefore, these women, gay men, and spineless betas demand that women have the sole right to decide whether their baby lives or dies and nobody is allowed to stop them. Even having an opposing opinion is akin to stomping on women’s rights. In addition, many women simply do not feel they are at a stable point in life to have a child. Although, is anyone ever really prepared for kids? Of course, what is happening is a deep-rooted progressive move to eliminate responsibility and accountability whilst increasing dependency on the government.
This has nothing to do with the safety of mothers or the rights of women and everything to do with an ever-deteriorating society that wants to live an irresponsible and reckless lifestyle. People want to have extramarital sex with as many partners as they desire with zero accountability or consequences. Interestingly, nearly half of the women who have abortions reported having one or more previous abortions. In other words, they will have killed multiple babies and gone on to live the same lifestyle with the same results. Unfortunately for these babies, their “mothers” prefer killing them over even considering being a responsible adult with morals. America is creating a culture where personal pleasure, gratification, and impulsiveness are placed above the life of another human being. Moreso a baby, who given the chance, would have a life, a personality, a voice, and a place in society. Equally important, a baby contributes to the continuation of mankind. Anyone who has children clearly remembers the first time their baby opened his or her eyes (yes, his or her). Parents can remember the first smile, laugh, or words. Families celebrate and cheer when a baby takes their first steps, walking into their arms. Imagine a lifetime of growing, learning, living, and experiencing the world as God created it. All of this snuffed out before they ever had a chance.
Meanwhile, the government is using abortion as another crutch to create dependency and further its campaign of division. The government and their media machine will cry sexism, misogyny, and bigotry towards anyone who dares question mass baby murder, or to be politically correct, a woman’s choice. The government has enabled these women to live a lifestyle free of consequences. As a result, these women must rely heavily on the continued support of the government in fear of returning to a lifestyle that requires planning, responsibility, accountability, and morality. Our government works in not-so-mysterious ways.
Unfortunately, this subject is widely debated. The fact it is a debate is disturbing and disheartening. America needs to stop this nonsense and make a stand openly and valiantly against evil. Society has allowed evil a foothold in America and it must be driven out like the infection it is. These woke ideas cannot be entertained any longer or given a “safe space” to be planted and grow. Regardless of political or religious beliefs, America must acknowledge this cancer. Everyone must confront it with logic, morality, and courage. And God willing, anyone who has a brain, a soul, and is capable of independent thought will open their eyes and see the rot that it is.
