Power and water outages were reported during the morning rush hour all over the country as the war passes its 2.5 year anniversary. The attacks come as temperatures cool, and the region readies itself for winter when energy is essential to power homes and infrastructure during the harsh Ukrainian winter.

The attack was the most dramatic in recent months, coming on the heels of the Ukrainian invasion into Russia’s Kursk region.
Ukrainian officials have already called for retribution attacks deeper into the Russian homeland.
Moldova also reported power outages, sharing a power grid with Ukraine.
Ukrainian military officials confirmed Russian TU-95 strategic bombers were used for the attack.
