Georgia Appeals Court Boots Fani Willis from Trump RICO Case
The Georgia Court of Appeals has disqualified Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the RICO case targeting President-elect Donald Trump, a major blow to the politically motivated attacks against him. Team Trump sees the decision as vindication, proving what they describe as “corrupt lawfare” aimed at derailing Trump’s leadership. “This ruling exposes the partisan witch hunt for what it is,” said Ken Klukowski, a senior legal editor at Breitbart. “It’s time to end these bogus charges and move on.”
Steven Cheung, Trump’s communications director, echoed these sentiments, calling the court’s decision a win for the American people who have rejected the weaponization of the justice system. “This is just another attempt to stop Trump from making America great again, and it has failed.”
With Willis disqualified and her office stripped of authority, many believe the case is now effectively dead, leaving the partisan effort to take down Trump in Georgia in tatters.
