The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced this morning that it killed a Ukrainian intelligence agent in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia. According to the report, the agent was attempting to plant explosives underneath a vehicle owned by a senior defense industry official.

The Ukrainian GUR intelligence officer was caught red-handed. The FSB initially attempted to detain him, but he was shot and killed after offering armed resistance. Law enforcement retrieved a pistol with ammunition at the scene, and bomb-making materials were later found during a search of his residence.
