Over 40,000 Nigerians are left without homes.
Officials confirmed that almost 700 hectares of farmland have been completely destroyed by the floods, complicating an already difficult situation as Nigeria fights double-digit inflation and soaring food prices.
Low hanging fruit (pun fully intended) for the government to focus on.

Nigeria is so fake because if a fiction writer wrote about crippling food inflation nationwide alongside massive food wastage in the most fertile regions, we'd call it nonsense. https://t.co/yg8UVeGJ9W
The affected area has also been battling repeated military attacks by warring rebels.
