After the tragedy in Georgia yesterday, the FBI has confirmed that the Apalachee High School shooter was in fact on their watchlist as far back as 2023.

Jackson County Sherrif’s office and FBI Atlanta released a joint statement that officials had received tips regarding threats posted online from the shooter. The social media posts had pictures of guns- the boy denied making the threats and local schools were told to monitor the child.
No action was taken at the time, authorities citing a lack of probable cause for arrest.
