an·ti-Sem·i·tism
noun
anti-Semitism (noun) · antisemitism (noun)
- hostility to or prejudice against Jewish people.
A word with a very simple, very straight forward meaning. And yet, its definition seems to be evolving to something like:
an·ti-Sem·i·tism
noun
anti-Semitism (noun) · antisemitism (noun)
- ideological disagreement with a prominent Jewish person.
- the questioning of US policy with Israel.
On October 7th, 2023, Hamas (the militant group currently in power in Palestine) launched an attack on Israel killing over 1,200 people, many of whom were women and children attending a concert. They also took many hostages, some of which they still hold for strategic ransom. Israel then declared war on Hamas and since has conducted air and artillery strikes and launched a ground invasion, causing tens of thousands of deaths, once again many being innocent women and children. It’s no secret that fighting in the Middle East never stops. So…why are these guys fighting? Is this another one of those ‘there isn’t much we can do about it; those guys are going to fight regardless of the situation’? In short, yes…yes, it is.
It is such a ‘yes’ that Israelis and Palestinians were fighting before Israel and Palestine became separate nations. They have always considered the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea to be their own. Combined, both sides tote around 7,000 casualties over the past 15 years due to conflict over that area. Does this have anything to do with the phrase ‘Christ is King?’ It does not. Does it have anything to do with conservative politics and being an anti-Semite in the grand scheme of the American Citizen? It does not. So why are we so infatuated with yet another conflict happening in Gaza, and how do we tie it to a simple phrase of faith?
Luckily, we have the media to thank for that.
The situation in the region is a 4-dimensional game of shit-chess. Power brokers in the region, Saudi Arabia (allegedly backed by the West) and Iran (backed by China, Russia, et al.), not to mention Egypt, Jordan, and others, are hamstrung by their masters in their association with Palestine and to make matters worse, there is regional economic stability at stake. Too much pull and sway against any Pro-Palestinian nation risks social unrest that would likely result in military upheaval by anyone in the region. The argument that “Israel must destroy Hamas and its affiliates” is not a realistic endeavor- unless total regional war is the goal, and it might be.
Taking pointers from Ben Shapiro at The Daily Wire, most conservative mainstream outlets (and even some liberal ones too) bring in some mildly humorous Rabbis, and a bunch of other analysts and authors to tell you, ‘If you don’t support what Israel is doing in Gaza you aren’t a conservative.’ They either cry or mock, floundering around in their own words. My father used to tell me, ‘If you stir around in a bucket of shit long enough, you’re bound to get some on ya’. How beneficial those wise words would have been had they fallen on the ears of what we today call ‘actual’ journalists.

A Harvard-trained lawyer, Ben Shapiro gained his conservative celebrity status by ‘owning’ college students on campuses across the nation. Just to point out the obvious, attorneys are trained to win arguments. Any attorney should be able to win an argument against a disaffected teenager who has never kissed a girl… One of his favorite lines is ‘facts don’t care about your feelings’. Well, Ben, ‘Christ is King’ is not antisemitic, and facts don’t care about your feelings.
Experts like Shapiro have shit all over them.
The same has been said before with the left and their ‘sex is on a spectrum’ argument. The people around us, some of them being the most powerful in the world, are allowing basic objective facts to be changed into whatever they want because allegedly, they find it offensive. Those in positions of impact are pandering to those who find it offensive to say there are 2 genders. They flex their influence through cultural Marxism, hoping everyone is too doped up on society’s instant gratification to notice.
There does not exist a world where we as Americans live and don’t offend anyone in some capacity. Part of being a member of a free society is having the ability to risk being offensive.
Look back at the first definition provided at the beginning of this article and then ask yourself if the phrase “Christ is King” is anti-Semitic. Then look at the second definition… Bingo. Ben ‘Merriam Webster’ Shapiro and those of similar status (and religion) in politics, media, and entertainment have launched a campaign of “Israel thought-crime crackdown”. If you do not agree with him that the US should send billions of US tax dollars to Israel every year, forfeit our nuclear technology to them, allow Israel to manipulate our banking system through proxy actors in finance and government, or risk WW3 by permitting them to have free reign in an annihilation campaign against Palestine and an extremely delicate Iran situation, then you are a Jew-hating, anti-Semite.
Furthermore, the last several weeks have been exceedingly dramatic, prompted certainly by several prominent Jewish figures in media and entertainment. For instance, Michael Jackson’s former spiritual advisor, Rabbi Jacob Shmuel Boteach, commonly known as Rabbi Shmuley, acted like a fool on social media and denigrated the entirety of Judaism in some sort of sick, self-deprecating, auto-flagellation on TikTok. Recently, he has taken on a new hobby of telling America on social media that if you hold conservative views, you might be an anti-Semite.
And apparently, tweeting the words “Christ is King” will get you fired if you work in American media.
For the normal people out there with families to feed, bills to pay, and jobs to do, how can backing a war that will lead to global Armageddon be a priority? How can we as a nation throw away our children’s future for a tiny nation that, to be blunt, hasn’t been our best ally? Our country is hanging on by a thread as it is. The real problems are here at home: invasion, debt, fentanyl, political persecution. The list goes on.
Stop letting the military-industrial complex, “K” Street, and the big banks dictate the future of our nation with their fiduciary addiction to forever war. The American people that run this nation, the American people that built this nation, deserve better. That is the bottom line.
