ICE agents arrested an illegal immigrant rapist in Waldorf, MD today. Henry Argueta-Tobar, a Guatemalan national, entered the United States illegally May 21st, 2019, was apprehended and cited by Border Patrol, and was released as an unaccompanied minor at the time.
He was allowed to go free and was served with a notice to appear before a DOJ immigration court later on an order of recognizance (a bond by which a person undertakes before a court or magistrate to observe some condition, especially to appear when summoned).

Argueta was later arrested in December of 2023 and charged with 2nd degree rape, was detained, and was released from custody at an unknown date. Then, on February 12th, a DOJ immigration judge in Baltimore ordered Argueta to be deported to Guatemala.

On July 3rd, Argueta was convicted of rape and was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment with an additional 5 years of supervised probation- all but 190 days of the sentence was suspended.
ICE officers have him in custody.
