This package includes the first delivery of the Joint Standoff Weapon, a precision-guided glide bomb with a significant range, enhancing Ukraine’s capability to strike Russian targets from safer distances.

The aid, which totals $5.5 billion before the fiscal year’s end and an additional $2.4 billion for direct procurement, covers air defense systems, drones, and munitions. It also includes plans for refurbishing and supplying an extra Patriot air defense battery along with more Patriot missiles. Biden has also expanded training for Ukrainian F-16 pilots.
