In Aurora, Colorado, two Venezuelan nationals suspected of being part of the Tren de Aragua gang, Nixon (19) and Dixon (20) Azuaje-Perez, have been released on a $1,000 bond each after their arrest related to a shooting incident on July 28th, where they faced charges for tampering with evidence.

The men were released despite Immigration and Customs Enforcement demanding they be put on detainer.
Aurora City Council member Danielle Jurinsky has publicly questioned the effectiveness of local law enforcement’s strategy to keep track of the suspects following their release.

Initially detained at Eagle Pass, TX in 2023, the gangsters were allowed to stay in the US until their court date, which has yet to be announced.
