Three Israeli citizens are dead after a solo gunman entered the West Bank from Jordan Sunday morning and opened fire at the Allenby Bridge/King Hussein Bridge border crossing.

Isreali Defense Forces were able to quickly return fire and kill the gunman.

Three Israeli shot dead by a terrorist at the Allenby Bridge crossing between Jordan and the West Bank.

The assailant, a truck driver from Jordan, arrived at the terminal and opened fire at the crossing’s employees.

The terrorist was eliminated.

The attack occurred near a commercial cargo manifest and inspection area where Israeli authorities unload and inspect Jordanian transports carrying goods into the West Bank.

The attacker was a 39-year-old Jordanian truck driver who hails from the prominent Huwaitat tribe in the south of Jordan.

This was the first attack near the Israel-Jordan border since Hamas carried out the October 7^th assault killing more than 1,200 and wounding 3,400 inside Israel.

"A terrorist approached the area of the Allenby Bridge from Jordan in a truck, exited the truck, and opened fire at the Israeli security forces operating at the bridge. The terrorist was eliminated by the security forces, three Israeli civilians were pronounced dead as a result of the attack."

Jordan and Israel have close diplomatic ties and both parties are investigating the incident, hoping the supply of goods from Jordan and the rest of the Gulf region remains largely unaffected into the West Bank and Israel.

The crossing has been temporarily closed due to an official investigation.
