Russia conducted drone and missile attacks on a Ukrainian energy facility in Northern Ukraine last night. The attack left 19,000 people without power in the western region of Ternopil.

As the war carries on, energy facilities in the region continue to face constant attacks following the 2022 invasion of the country, forcing Ukraine to import more energy from the European Union.
Moscow was unavailable for comment following the attack but has a standing order to steer clear of civilian infrastructure.

Ukrainian authorities announced the attack has caused Chlorine levels in the local atmosphere to rise.
The attack comes as Russia picks up its attacks in Eastern Ukraine following the Ukrainian invasion into the Kursk region of Russia.
