Nicole Shanahan, the vice presidential running mate of Robert F. Kennedy Jr, announced yesterday that they may be forced to drop out of the race and endorse President Donald Trump.
The announcement comes as polls show an increasingly closer race between Kamala Harris and the former president, especially between independents.
Trump has stated in interviews that he would be open to including Kennedy in his administration, which is no surprise given reports of a budding friendship and mutual respect between the two presidential candidates.

Kennedy, who initially ran as a Democrat for the 2024 presidential nomination, was forced to run as an Independent after failing to gain backing from the democratic machine earlier this year.
Kennedy has had a difficult time qualifying to get his name on the ballots in several states but could still drain enough votes away from Trump and Harris to hurt both candidates.
The Trump team has been exploring collaboration with Kennedy, especially given his ideas on healthcare, an issue important to many Republican voters.
Shanahan offered that their team has not conducted any talks with the Harris campaign.
