Terrorist group Hezbollah (Arabic: “Party of God”) launched hundreds of rocket and drone attacks at Israel early Sunday morning.
In response, Israeli Defense Forces hit Hezbollah in southern Lebanon with about 100 jet attacks on 40 rocket launch sites to stop the volley in one of the biggest operations since the war began after the Oct. 7th Hamas attack that killed over 1,200 in Israel.

Lebanese officials confirmed three deaths while none were reported by Israel.
Following the operation, Israel’s foreign minister, Israel Katz, stated that Israel does not seek a full-scale war, but continued escalation in the region risks ascending into a much larger conflict- pulling in Iran and the United States.
Further military actions complicate negotiations in Egypt that are currently underway seeking a peace deal to end the violence in Gaza.
