Germany has issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian man accused of blowing up the Nord Stream pipeline in September of 2022.
The diving instructor, formerly living in Poland has been identified as Volodymyr Z., is alleged to have set explosives on the Russian energy pipeline in September of 2022. Accusations are that he dove 80 meters deep in the Baltic Sea near the Danish island of Bornholm and planted the explosives- rendering the pipeline ineffective.

According to various seismic institutes, there were 2 explosions detected on the pipeline which was constructed in 2010. Nord Stream was crucial in the transport of Russian gas to Germany.
Although the pipeline was full of gas at the time, sources claim the pipeline was not in operation.

This is not the first time German authorities have attempted to apprehend the suspect; Germany requested Poland arrest the man back in June. He has been evading authorities ever since and is no longer in Poland.
Authorities have tracked the boat he was using to crew members using false passports and a Ukrainian soldier whose identity was apparently stolen.
No arrests have been made, but this is a step closer to finding answers.
