The attack resulted in the largest single action bloodshed in Lebanon since Hezbollah and Israel began exchanging blows last October. According to the Israeli’s military spokesman, Israel’s target was a Hezbollah weapons depot in the south of Lebanon.
While locals near the site maintain that the personnel killed were not making weapons, it has been confirmed by independent sources that the factories did in fact produce metal and other equipment necessary for munitions.
